Welcome to Open Mic!
If you enjoy a relaxed evening listening to local talent in a comfortable setting then this is the event for you!
We have been holding Regular Open Mic Nights on a Friday evening in the main hall at Viables since 2015. As of October 2021 we have now moved to Saturday evenings. We have hosted musicians, singers, poets and comedians, though the performers are generally music based. Each performer is normally on stage for 10-15 minutes so there are lots of styles and musicians that may appeal to you.
Entry is just £1 per person and the bar is open throughout the evening. Doors open at 19.30, the performances are generally from 20:00 until 22:30 and the evening closes at around 23.00.
Open Mic Vivo kindly ran this for us for a few years and have now moved on to concentrate on their own band bookings. Therefore, we have a new volunteer called Simon who is hosting the event for us. Please come on down and show your support.

Audience
If you would like to come and listen to some talented people for the evening using a range of instruments for a variety of styles, come and join us for just £1 entry. The bar will be open too!
Performers
Whether you are a seasoned professional, beginner or an up and coming star, come and have a go!
A full PA system is provided, all you need to bring is your instrument and any pedals, etc, you need to produce your particular sound. Please bring your own microphone if you prefer not to share.
