NEW TEA SHOP Viables Craft Centre is pleased to announce the opening of a small teashop from the beginning of May. It will be open from 10.30am to 3.30pm every Saturday, and on the Sundays when the Model Engineering Society is running its public rides (see its website below). On sale will be traditional afternoon cream teas with tea & coffee, scones, jam & cream, lots of homemade cakes such as Walnut & Coffee, Lemon Drizzle, Chocolate, Carrot, Victoria Sponge and more. There will be wheat free and gluten free bread and cakes available too. Do come and visit us! Each school holiday you will find an ever increasing number of people crafting and creating in the main hall. Children aged 5 and over, along with their grown-up, join Helen Ward, Pauline Pepper, and other artists for ‘Art Attack’. Each holiday brings with it a new theme - this coming holiday we’re looking forward to Art Attack in the Garden. You can join us on 27th and 28th May from 10am until 12pm, for a variety of crafting activities, including wind chime designs and creating your own ‘ready to hang’ canvas masterpiece! With refreshments offered by Nanny Bakes Tea Shop, there’s everything you need for a wonderful morning of make and do. Admission is £3 per person, and advance booking is essential (with payment required on the day). Contact Helen Ward by email, at flying.instructor@virgin.net or call 07876 188855 to book your places. If you’d like to join the team as a flexible volunteer, contact Helen to register your interest! The Centre is managed by the Viables Community Association, and is used most days of the week by regular clubs. Its facilities can also be hired for private events. View information about the hall, the online diary, booking rates, and terms and conditions, and details of some of our regular bookings and activities. A location map can be found here.
