This group meets on the second Saturday of every month, and each time they try a different technique using different materials. Over recent months they've made purses, tie dyed fabrics, made jewellery and done some silk painting. Not to mention garden collage, book covers with a twinkle, sewing a portrait and making a Christmas decoration!
They're one of Viables' most long standing groups. It's a non-profit making group, run voluntarily by members of the Basingstoke Embroiderers' Guild. Both boys and girls are encouraged to come and enjoy colour and stitch. Materials and equipment are supplied, though no-one minds if people want to bring their own sewing kits.
The age range is 7 to 15 years, though 7 year olds must work with a parent. The charge is £3.50 for members of the Embroiderers' Guild, and £5 for visitors.
